Our People
Our vineyards thrive on diversity.
So, too, does our team.
We come from different backgrounds, each bringing unique perspectives, skills, and stories—just like the grapes we cultivate. Together, we blend experience and innovation, tradition and curiosity, crafting something greater than the sum of its parts.

Michael Moore, Pres. and Catalyst
In 2008, Michael transitioned from a two-decade career in documentary filmmaking to join his family’s vineyard, bringing with him a storyteller’s curiosity and a documentarian’s keen sense of observation. He helped his mother, Traute, then 75, establish South Stage Cellars, a tasting room and cultural hub for music, art and community in Jacksonville. Shifting his focus to the vineyards, Michael was mentored by his vineyard crew, both in farming and Spanish, and soon recognized that drawing from their expertise, soliciting their ideas, and involving crew in decision making was the key to innovation and improvement in vineyard operations, a collaborative practice that continues to this day at Quail Run.

Gregory Brun, General Manager
Gregory Brun is a wine industry veteran and a passionate advocate for blending wine’s sense of place with technology. He brings a wealth of expertise, from interpreting soil complexities to utilizing airborne imagery and remote sensing devices. He has worked with renowned wineries, including Domaine Méo-Camuzet in Burgundy and Newton Vineyard in Napa. Gregory also served as the head of viticulture at Delicato Wines, where he led vineyards development across diverse regions.
Gregory is a French engineer from L’Institut Agro Montpellier and holds an M.S. in Viticulture and Winemaking.

Antonio Muñoz Salinas, Vineyard Supervisor
Antonio joined QRV in 2001, marking his first experience working in vineyards. He quickly excelled as a leader, motivating and training his team with dedication. Over the years, he has developed a deep affinity for the vines and a profound understanding of how each pass through the vineyards impacts fruit quality.
A man of great humility, Antonio always credits his crew for the excellence of their work.

Carlos Arredondo, Vineyard Supervisor
Carlos was first introduced to Quail Run while installing irrigation systems with a local company. He joined our team in 2005, marking his first foray into vineyard work. For years, he was mentored by Alberto, our first supervisor, who retired in 2013.
Recognizing Carlos’ exceptional talent for working with grapes, we asked him to step into Alberto’s role—even though he was the youngest member of the crew.

Meredith Morgan, Winery Relations
Meredith brings a background in relationship-building to her role at Quail Run Vineyards. Originally from the Midwest, she previously worked in nonprofit outreach, serving as a primary point of contact for clients and developing partnerships with local organizations. This experience has seamlessly transitioned into the wine industry, where she focuses on connecting people and fostering new opportunities.
Also part of the South Stage Cellars team—the tasting room for Quail Run Vineyards—Meredith shares the vineyard’s story and its wines, building meaningful connections within our community.

Ken Pratt, Operations and Shop
Ken is a foundational member of QRV who has worked with Traute and Don since 1992. What began as a side job to support his 3 young children turned into a lifelong endeavor. As our Operations Manager, Ken is our mechanic, forklift operator, and oversees all logistics at harvest. He’s the literal nuts and bolts of the company. In his free time he can be found working on his gardens or numerous vehicle projects.
